How You Can Get Involved And Participate Actively
- Interested business and professional associations that desire to be part of the coalition should pick up the membership form at PLACOBPA Secretariat and pay the relevant fees.
- Intending member associations should note that, once admitted, they shall participate in the strategic planning and implementation of key advocacy activities to be handled by the coalition in Plateau State.
- Each member association of the coalition shall be actively engaged in the development and implementation of the coalition’s work plan.
Duties Of Member Associations
- Prepare to regularly and promptly attend all coalition meetings and activities and be aware in advance of the meeting agenda.
- Attend and be an active participant on subcommittees of the coalition as assigned.
- Support the coalition leadership in organizing meetings, preparing agendas and shaping the specific work of the coalition in relation to its broad mission.
- Serve as a coalition representative and provide information to the coalition when requested by the coalition members, subcommittee chairs, and coalition chair.
- Be knowledgeable about the coalition and the issues surrounding the business community in Plateau State.
- Contribute to coalition meetings by expressing their points of view on an advocacy issue.
- Consider other’s points of view, make constructive suggestions and help the coalition make decisions that benefit those it serves.
- Represent the coalition’s agenda/advocacy issues to the State Government
- Serve as an ambassador of the state’s business community
- Assume a leadership role as needed.
- Support the ongoing process of recruiting new coalition members
